Man Kills 7-year-old Daughter; Posts Photo Of Dead Child On Facebook

The suspect, Mark Alvin Manliclic, 31, admitted to killing his own son, Angel Mark Cathlene, at their home in M. Aquino Street, Barangay Sta Lucia, Quezon City, early on last Tuesday morning, but he was unable to give a motive.
According to police accounts, the suspect's relatives were awakened from their slumber in their Quezon City house at around three in the morning when Manliclic informed them that his daughter had died. They claimed that after initially refusing to accept him, they were stunned to discover the girl's bloodied body.
Just hours before killing Angel, the suspect threatened to kill the girl during a heated argument with his wife, according to police investigations.
Chief Inspector Rodelio Marcelo, the commander of the Quezon City Police District's Criminal Investigation and Detection Section, claimed that the previous evening, Manliclic and his wife, who is in Canada, had furious Facebook messages exchanged.
The discord between the couple grew worse when he learned that his wife had already been to Canada while he had been led to believe she would merely visit the province of Quezon.
“The wife was apparently unable to answer some of his messages, so the suspect eventually got mad and said he would kill his daughter should the wife refuse to come home,”the official added.
To prove to his wife that he had followed through on his earlier threat to kill his child, the suspect posted a photograph of his daughter's lifeless, bloodied body as his Facebook profile image. Nevertheless, later that day, it was removed, Marcelo continued.
Further inquiry by the police revealed that Cathy, the mother of the girl, had been employed in Canada for the previous three months. The suspect has been pressuring his wife to return home, and if Cathy doesn't comply, he'll even threaten to kill their daughter.
The agitated Manliclic remembered drinking a bottle of Red Horse beer earlier.
It was also disclosed that the suspect allegedly attempted suicide a few days prior but was prevented by his small daughter.
Manliclic, the suspect, claimed he was unable to remember what happened when asked why he killed his daughter.
“I only saw blood all over her neck, I could not remember what I did. I then ran outside to tell my relatives what happened,”he remarked carelessly.
The youngster suffered six stab wounds throughout her neck, back, and stomach, according to Insp. Elmer Monsalve, the homicide department chief of the Quezon City Police.
Monsalve stated that when they arrived at the location, they discovered the gruesome Facebook photo and an open chat window in which the suspect had told his mother in the United States about the crime.
Conclusion
The arrested person has already been charged with the non-bailable felony of parricide by the police. To ascertain whether Manliclic was also under the influence of illicit narcotics when he did his horrifying crime, he will undergo a medical examination.
