Davao City tied with Hoi An, Vietnam garnering 84 points. It is even one of the four “recommended” cities among the list. The criteria was measured based on the cost of living, internet speed and local weather conditions for people who do business on a short-term basis; considering how much it costs to stay in a hotel, hostel or apartelle and having three basic meals a day.

It is the only city in the Philippines that made it to the top ten. Other major cities in the Philippines that were mentioned in the list were Cebu City, Palawan and Manila, which were all at the further bottom of the list. Cebu City was able to get 20 points; Palawan got 12 and Manila got a negative score of three (-3).
