MOSCOW, Russia – Audience in a Russian TV show were left stunned after a little girl spoke seven languages fluently.

Bella Devyatkina, 4 years old, amazed the entire world after her video showing her talking in seven different languages emerged online.

Jessica Duncan mentioned in her article for Mail Online that Bella participated in a Russian reality TV show “Udivitelniye Lyudi” translated into English as Incredible People.

Bella impressed the judges in Moscow with her remarkable language skills, as she speaks fluently in her native Russian, then in English, German, Spanish, French, Chinese and Arabic.

The mentioned languages are the six official United Nations languages with the addition of German.

Bella was able to communicate in these languages, as her knowledge exceeds the vocabulary of simple “small talk.”

While on the show, Bella successfully answered questions based on a school curriculum in all these languages.

An article by Weird Russia mentioned that Yulia, Bella’s mother, says that she started teaching Bella different languages at the age of two.

Yulia said they started teaching Bella with English whom the little kid learned exceptionally fast. Soon after that, they started teaching the young kid different languages.

Bella practices English with Yulia and receives tutorials from native speakers for other languages.

With the amazing skills she showed, language specialists have been just as impressed as the global audience that saw Bella’s performance

“Such cases are rare but have happened in the past. Language centers in the human brain get switched on at different stages of development,” said one linguist and language expert.

The language expert said that Bella will not lose her knowledge, however, warns that at some point it can become “frozen” if she does not continue to use and practice it.
