An alleged Pakistani national, who was reportedly a member of the ISIS-linked Ansar al-Khilafah Philippines (AKP) terror group, was killed in a military operation in Barangay Daliao, Maasim, Saranggani on January 7. His woman companion was also killed.

According to Journal Online, the suspected Pakistani terrorist identified as Abu Naila tried to lob a grenade at the operatives of the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) when he was accosted, but was shot before he could do so. His woman companion, identified only as “Kadija”, was allegedly the live-in partner of the slain AKP leader Mohammad Jaafar Maguid alias “Commander Tokboy.”

“The two were reportedly acting suspiciously and when accosted, the foreigner tried to hurl a grenade at our operatives,” Supt. Romeo Galgo, public information officer of the PRO-12, said.

Galgo added that local informants confirmed that the two were linked to Tokboy.

Tokboy was killed last Thursday, January 5, at the Angel Beach Resort in Barangay Kitagas in Kiamba, Sarangani, while his three cohorts were arrested.
