The famous Forbes Magazine tagged Palawan, Philippines as one of its 21 Best Travel Destinations for 2017.
According to author Alexandra Talty, tourists could snorkel, dive, beach hop, and explore underground cave systems as the place contain the most diverse landscapes as well as some of the best aquatic lives.
In comparison with Boracay, Palawan is a little more untouched and quiet; thus, its magic still remains.
Palawan is not a party island; therefore, travelers could spend their visit to relax.
“The Philippines is heating up as a destination for 2017,” said the post.
The magazine, meanwhile, aside from the Philippines also mentioned these countries on the list: Northern Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal (2), South Korea, Romania (2), South Africa, Greece, Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, Slovakia,Laos, Egypt, Bolivia, Utah, Guatemala,Belize,Honduras, and Georgia.
Palawan is the home of Tubbataha Reefs National Park and Puerto Princesa Subterranean River — which is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
Last year, the island was also dubbed as the 2016 top Best Islands in the world as per a Good News Pilipinas story.
Moreover, the Philippines, through Metro Manila, is a part of Forbes‘ Best Budget Travel Destinations in 2016.
