A Malaysian was sentenced by a court in Singapore for molesting his Filipina housemaid.

According to the Inquirer, 40-year-old senior security specialist Jacob Kumar Ross B. Isaac Ross, a Singapore permanent resident, has been touching and kissing his 30-year-old Filipina housemaid inappropriately less than two months since she started working for his family.

On January 4 to 10, 2016, Ross has been molesting the Filipina and even told her that he “wants her by the end of the month.” Terrified of what Ross might further do to her, she informed her agent and Ross’ wife.

Ross apologized, but on March 7, 2016, he ordered the Filipina to apply medicated oil to his lower back using a roller. The worried maid informed her employer’s wife, who accompanied her to a police station to lodge a complaint.

On Monday, February 27, Deputy Public Prosecutor Chee Ee Ling said Ross abused his position of authority and sentenced him to suffer 11 months imprisonment and three strokes of the cane.
