#MMKLoveMeNow: Praises pour for ‘JoshLia’s’ superb acting in Maalaala Mo Kaya

Popular loveteam “JoshLia” gained praises for their superb acting in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode last Saturday, February 18.

In the episode of MMK Love Me Now, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto portrayed young lovers John and Aika, respectively, whose love was tested when one of them was diagnosed with cancer.

Cancer-stricken Aika had been pushing John away because she knew that she could die anytime soon and she did not want to break his heart. John, on the other hand, remained by her side until a twist of fate occured — John died in an accident while Aika finished her treatment and is now in remission.

In social media, both Garcia and Barretto were praised for giving justice to the story.

“Mad respect, Julia! I cried so much when I watched the #MMK episode. You are a force to be reckoned with. I’m now a fan of you and Josh. Please more projects sana,” wrote @itskarlawithak.

“Can’t help but admire you Julia and Joshua! I was amazed and surprised by your performance. You both made me cry to the highest maximum level! I’m a teacher and yes, i’m your new fan,” expressed @sherymay02.

“First time to comment on a celebrity’s IG account. But this one’s for you, Julia B. Your acting is superb, and didn’t realize na umiiyak na pala ko watching you. Your portrayal is just so brilliant!” commented @chotmanlapaz.

The names of both Garcia and Barretto also reached the trending topics list on Twitter.
