After almost a year of grieving over the death of three-year-old Caitlin, who is more popularly known as Courageous Catie, Mr. and Mrs. Lucas has welcomed a baby girl on Valentine’s Day, at 11:25 a.m.; the same time when Catie was pronounced dead in 2016.
On Courageous Caitie Facebook page, a photo of Catie’s mother with the newborn baby was posted.
“So surreal still. We lost Caitie around 11:25 a.m., held her in our arms. And now, our baby daughter came into this world at 11:25 a.m…. the world know its all about love today. What are the chances. Thank you, Lord. Wifey and baby recovering fine,” read the photo caption.
Caitie was diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) by doctors in Singapore. It is a rare disease that strikes only one in a million children in the United States and has no known treatment protocol.
With the “Courageous Caitie” Facebook page, the young girl’s story of pain, bravery and faith has captured the hearts of thousands of people online.
Sadly, Catie died at 11 a.m. on March 31, 2016.
