A fireman was killed after falling to his death while trying to turn off the giant billboard that was showing porn film in the middle of the day in Mexico City last Friday.

Alvaro Jimenez Gonzalez climbed the billboard that was broadcasting an X-rated film after being targeted by hackers. The billboard was located along the Periférico highway in the San Antonio area and is a busy motorway.

After receiving calls from concerned motorists, the firefighting department sent Gonzales to the area after the video of said billboard went viral on social media.

Apparently the fireman climbed the billboard without using a safety harness and lost his footing, leading to his fall.

Paramedics managed to rush him to the nearby hospital but the victim eventually succumbed to injuries.

Gonzales’ director, Raúl Esquivel, at the fire department has confirmed their colleague’s death.

We deeply regret the death of our colleague Álvaro Jiménez González from the Tacubaya station,” said Esquivel in a statement. “We offer complete support from the firefighters and the government of Mexico State to the family of our colleague.”

Meanwhile, police are now looking for the hackers who are responsible for the gaffe.
