Rumors about a crossover bout between the boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC’s Conor McGregor has continued to be a dream for fight fans.

With the monumental match-up becoming highly unlikely as time passes, Floyd Mayweather’s father, Floyd Sr., has decided to light a fire anew by lambasting the Irish UFC lightweight champion.

The retired boxer-turned-trainer, questioned McGregor’s boxing skills and even suggested that he wouldn’t fare any better against a man his age.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. is willing to take that even further, saying that McGregor wouldn’t stand a chance against him, much less his son.

Now we all know where Floyd Mayweather Jr. gets his endless boastful fancy talks.

“He don’t want that fight. Floyd’s gonna turn him upside down,” Mayweather Sr. told FightHype.com. “That be like you and Floyd in the ring! [Laughs]. He looks bad in the ring. That’s a done deal right there. They’ve already showed the best that he’s got.”

“He ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on the TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side. Here I am, I’m a 64-year-old man and I’ll beat your ass. I’ll beat the s**t out of McGregor! Anytime he wants it, let’s go,” he boldly proclaimed.

Before switching the boxing gloves for a pair of training mittens, Mayweather Sr. amassed a professional record of 28 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw.

At the peak of his career, he even competed with all-time great Sugar Ray Leonard.

Floyd Sr. has been vocal about training his son if ever the crossover match materializes.

Meanwhile, the famous Mixed Martial Arts fighter, Conor Mcgregor, is not only known for his superb fighting skills but is also known for trash talking.

Last year, he and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been exchanging trash talks with each other.

On September 28, 2016, Conor Said: “Floyd (Jr.) wants a boxing match, and I’ve already said, no problem, get my fu*kin’ money, and when you get my money, then we can box, in this boxing match, on these set of specific rules that will keep you alive.”

On November 15, via TMZ, Floyd Jr. said: “Never compare Conor Mcgregor to me, that’s a total disrespect. I’m an elephant. Elephants don’t beef for ants. You know elephant is so large, you don’t even see ants.”

When Conor was told by the same reporter: “He compared you to an ant and he’s an elephant,”  he replied, “Tell him to say it to my face.”
