Virginia, USA  –  A young boy died this week after he accidentally shot himself while at his babysitter’s house, according to his family.

Four-year-old Cole Clark somehow got a loaded gun at his caregiver’s home in Orange County.

Kyrin Falcetti said she dropped her son Cole off at the daycare center and got a call about an hour later, saying something had happened.

When she arrived back at the daycare, she learned that Cole had shot himself. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene around noon.

‘I don’t want to be burying my son,’ Mrs Falcetti told NBC 4 Washington. ‘He didn’t do anything wrong.’

According to the Orange Sheriff’s Office, the babysitter’s home is also the residence of a Stafford County Deputy Sheriff.

However, the deputy was not at home at the time of the incident and the firearm involved in the shooting was not a service weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The training deputy’s fiancé was babysitting at the time.

So far, no charges have been filed.

Investigators are not releasing the details of what led up to the tragic event; citing an ongoing investigation.

An autopsy is being conducted. No further information will be released until the investigation is complete, according to officials from the Orange Sheriff’s Office.
