President Rodrigo Duterte’ very own television show will air very soon, according to the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).
A teaser for the tv show was posted on the Facebook page of the PCOO; announcing that the show will be aired on government-owned People’s Television (PTV-4).
The show, titled “Mula sa Masa, Para sa Masa,” takes off from Mr. Duterte’s weekly show (every Sunday) “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa,” which he co-hosted when he was a Mayor of Davao City.
In Gikan sa Masa, Para Sa Masa, Duterte talked about the local government’s pressing matters, programs and policies as he addressed the people of Davao. He became a “Sumbungan ng Dabawenyos” as he read out citizen complaints. He also dropped names of people suspected to be involved in the drug trade.
PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said the show intends to bring the President straight to the people.
“The aim is to communicate the policies of the Duterte administration to the masses. Straight from the President himself,” Andanar said.
As reported by CNN Philippines, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said in a text message that the show has no exact airing date yet, but it will be “very soon”.
