The Department of Foreign Affairs said that no Filipino citizen was hurt in three separate bombing attacks in Pakistan last Friday.

The death toll in the twin bombings in the northwestern Pakistani city of Parachinar has risen to at least 67, bringing the overall death toll from three separate attacks across the country on Friday to 85, DFA officials said.

Police report say the two explosions in Parachinar went off almost simultaneously near a bus terminal at the market. The second blast happened as rescuers rushed to help those injured in the first explosion.

“The Philippine government conveys its sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims,” the DFA said in a statement.

“The Embassy in Islamabad is continuing to monitor the situation,” it assured.

The DFA Islamabad embassy may be reached at: House No. 7-A Kohsar Road Sector 7/2, Islamabad, Pakistan. It may be contacted at +92 51 2655078 or by email at [email protected].
