It has been four years since we all heard the devastating news of Glee actor Cory Monteith’s death, and to some it still felt like it was just yesterday.

Some fans and loved ones took to social media their tribute for the Canadian actor and musician, known for his role as Finn Hudson on the Fox television series Glee.

Fellow glee star Lea Michele whom he was dating when he died at the age of 31 didn’t break her yearly tradition of remembering and honoring him on this day.

Wearing his letterman jacket which Cory, as his character Finn Hudson in Glee often did, she took a photo of herself holding a polaroid of the two of them at the Soho House in New York back in 2013.

Lea and Cory met on the set of their show and instantly hit it off. They confirmed the dating rumors by 2012 and Michele has three tattoos dedicated to her late boyfriend not including the matching one she got with him–she has ‘finn’ imprinted on her hip which was Cory’s character name, an ‘if you say so’ on her rib which was the last words he said to her before his death and then became a single in her debut album ‘Louder,’ and most recently the number ‘5’ which represents his jersey number as the quarterback in Glee.

She also posted a close-up and clearer version of their photo on instagram and wrote on the caption: 4 years and it still feels like yesterday.. love you more C

If you don’t believe in true love, just look at them.

Other co-actors on Glee also shared heartfelt posts for the beloved actor.

“Heart stopped a beat realizing that today it has been four years without this wonder human. This picture is a perfect representation of how funny and mischievous you were (I mean look at that grin) I could never contain myself when you were near. I remember this moment, those funny men in hand, feeling like maybe they had read the wrong names and what were we even doing there….how were we fooling everyone, what kind of magic was this? So lucky to have had our show, our cast and you. I miss seeing you every day on set, your supreme kindness and generosity. I miss every bit of you,” Dianna wrote.

4 years and our memories of you still live on so vividly in our hearts. We are so lucky to have known you. ??
