A Filipina woman was taken to a hospital after a piece of concrete fell on her head in Hong Kong.
According to Asia Times, the unnamed Filipina was lining up in front of a bake shop to buy bread at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, when a piece of cement came off from the concrete pent roof of a 34-year-old building and fell on the hapless woman.
The piece of cement, measuring about 30cm x 30 cm, struck the Filipina’s head and shoulder, causing profuse bleeding. An employee of the bake shop called paramedics for help.
The victim was reportedly conscious when the paramedics arrived and administered first aid treatment before taking her to a hospital.
Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to conduct an investigation.
