Kevin Ferrer, a home-grown University of Santo Tomas basketball player, finally took his talent in as part of the Gilas Pilipinas player pool. In the ongoing Jones Cup 2017, Kevin Ferrer, along with Kiefer Ravena, Kobe Paras, Mac Belo, Chris Standhardinger and other Filipino standouts have definitely wowed the crowd with their amazing basketball skills.

However, Kevin Ferrer’s amazing crossover skills may have crushed the dreams of one player from Iraq.

In the video below, Ferrer’s agility and fast dribbling of the ball fooled one of the opponents, who fell bad on his foot. The once-King Tiger, who is now playing for Team NSD Ginebra San Miguel, is the culprit for his jaw-dropper dribbling skills. Watch this successful play from Kevin Ferrer.

The game, which featured the injury, ended with an 84-75 win for the Philippines. It happened last July 20 and was posted in popular basketball website, Bleacher Report. It is clear that Ferrer had no intention to hurt his opponent. His speed really mislead his opponent and read his moves differently.

The Iraqi player, Talib, went down in pain and had to be bleachered out of the court. Of course, this is not to celebrate an injury and hopefully, Talib recovers as soon as possible.

Currently, the Philippine team is ranked fourth with 4-3 standing and is set to face India on July 22, 1 PM, as well as Iran in William Jones Cup, which is held in Taiwan.
