Maureen Wroblewitz rose to international fame after she won Asia’s Next Top Model Seson 5. Now, one of her biggest fan is American top model, Tyra Banks, who’s the creator of the Top Model franchise.
Asia’s Next Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz was filled with glee after Banks called her a “Pinoy Queen” in one of her Instagram photos. In her Nylon magazine cover, Tyra told Maureen: “Pinoy Queen! Mama TyTy is so proud of you!”
During her interview last Friday on ANC’s Headstart, Wroblewitz said she hasn’t spoken with Banks personally, but she has a message for her.
She said: “When I saw that, I was really freaking out. It’s just crazy because she’s from ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and she’s huge. And for her to go on my Instagram page and comment, that is just huge.”
When asked for her message to Tyra Banks, the 19-year-old Asia’s Next Top Model winner responded:“Thank you for believing in me and for thinking that I’m a Pinoy Queen and for being proud of me!”
Maureen Wroblewitz bested thirteen other contestants who came from different parts of Asia. She went on to claim the first title for the Philippines in the reality show. As a prize, she acquired a contract with London-based Storm Model Management. She also became the cover of Nylon Singapore’s online edition. In addition, she will be featured in other high-profile fashion campaigns.
