One million pesos in cash, house and lot, and a brand new car; those are the winnings of three deserving honor students who played at GMA’s Wowowin on Friday afternoon.
The three were identified as Drew Razon, son of a taho vendor; Naya Remo, daughter of a canteen helper; and Khen Albania, daughter of a traffic enforcer.
According to GMA News, the three said that they really wanted to participate in Wowowin so that the prizes could help them fulfill their dreams if ever they get lucky.
The three were tempted to choose the P300,000 easy money of the game when they reached the jackpot round.
But together with their parents, they stood firm, until Drew, Naya, and Khen won the show’s “Mega Jackpot”.
Tears and drama flooded the studio, not just from the winners and the relatives, but from the audience as well.
Khen’s dad couldn’t hold back his tears, saying at least now they can’t be forced to leave by their landlord every time they were unable to pay rent.
The three would still decide how they will split-up the winnings.
“Pag-uusapan na lang po namin kung sino ang mas nangangailangan,” [We will talk about it, who needs help the most] Naya said.
“Kahit ano na lang po ang matira. Kasi si Khen po kailangan niya ng bahay eh,” [Whatever would be left is fine, Because Khen needs a house] she added.
