Some parts of Marife Ramos’ body were still swollen when she shared her tragic first-hand experience in an interview. But more than the physical injuries, it’s the emotional pain over the death of her husband caused by the “cement mixer truck accident” that she’ll have to bravely deal with.

Marife and her children miraculously survived that terrifying accident that took place Tuesday afternoon at the Mindanao Avenue –but not her husband Ulysses.

The parents were together with their three children in the car when a speeding cement mixer truck outmaneuvered, mounted a center island and landed on top of their car. Ulysses was the last one to be rescued from the crash; after two agonizing hours.

[I clearly saw how the car’s roof crashed on my husband’s head, and the way my children cried.]

During those moments, the family never stopped calling for God’s help, Marife disclosed in an interview with GMA News.

[I prayed, and kept on praying, please Lord Jesus take away this very heavy thing on top of us. I told my family, ‘breathe, breathe, don’t you sleep.’]

And I felt a very discomforting heat, I blew wind to my husband, to give him some air], she added.

Her struggling husband, she said, found a way to calm her down by resting his hand upon her leg.

Seeing how the cement mixer truck devastated the family’s car as per a video released, it’s like a miracle that four of them survived.

According to Marife, days before the tragedy, Ulysses seem to have had some premonition; telling their kids last Sunday to never let their Mom have ill feelings — “Huwag n’yong bibigyan ng sama ng loob ang mommy ha…”
