The husband and wife suspects who were accused of being behind a P200-million investment scam were paraded in public in Tanauan City in Batangas.

According to the Facebook post of Tanauan City’s Hope (known as the Facebook page of Tanauan City Mayor Antonio Halili) the suspects, identified as Eric and Ariane Dalisay, were persuaded by their village chief to surrender.

Mayor Antonio Halili had the victims and the suspects meet in his office to iron things out. The victims asked the suspects to return the money they invested in their overrun clothing business, but the suspects claimed they do not have the money as they were also deceived by one of their buyers.

In the end, Mayor Halili made couple do the infamous “walk of shame” after the victims demanded that the suspects be paraded around the city.
