For the first time, although a bit late, Justin Bieber spoke about the controversial cancellation of his Purpose World Tour.
The singer apologized to his fans via a touching Instagram post on Wednesday; explaining why he had pulled the plug on the remaining dates on his global tour.
The 23-year-old Canadian explained that he made this difficult decision in the hopes of being able to return in better physical and mental form for his fans.
“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE,” he wrote. “I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable.”
Justin Bieber also thanks his fans for their support.
“I’m grateful for the tour, but I’m most grateful to have gone through it with you,” he added.
“Learning and growing up has not always been easy, but knowing that I am not alone has kept me going. I have let my insecurities get the best of me at times, I let my broken relationships dictate the way I acted toward people and the way I treated them. I let bitterness, jealousy and fear run my life! I am extremely blessed to have people in the past few years helped me build my character back up reminding me of who I am and who I want to be. “
Meanwhile, a lot of positive comments flooded his post; with many appreciating his seemingly maturing mind and his honesty to admit his past mistakes.
