MANILA, Philippines – One of the lawyers of Patricia Bautista said his client will be revealing more incriminating documents against her husband Comelec chairman Andres Bautista soon.

“Hindi lamang po pera. Marami pa pong iba [It’s not just about money. There’s more],” Atty. Martin Loon told Rappler. “Napakaraming nahanap ng kanyang misis at ito ay isisiwalat sa tamang panahon [She found a lot of things which will be revealed at the proper time].”

According to Loon, Mrs. Bautista will expose everything at the proper time and forum—be it done in Congress or in any government agency.

“Marami pa pong ibang revelation si [There are more to be revealed by] Mrs. Bautista and everything will come at the proper time and at the proper forum. We decided to just release everything that she discovered at the proper investigation and at the proper forum,” he said.

Although refusing to elaborate, Loon said the incriminating documents contained matters affecting national security. He also said his client was ready to face the charges filed against her by her husband.

“It was Bautista who may have committed greater crimes. The harassment suits against Mrs. Bautista is part of their strategy to silence her from speaking the truth. We know we have the truth on our side,” he said.

The Bautistas are locked in a bitter controversy, with the elections chief accusing his wife of smearing his name as part of their marital dispute.

Mrs. Bautista meanwhile is claiming her husband amassed wealth using his position as head of the Comelec.
