Our beloved Converse “One Star” recently had a new look, the “Converse One Star x Golf Le Fleur” collection, a set of One Star sneakers in four new colorways.
Converse teamed up with American rapper, record producer and fashion designer “Tyler, the Creator” in making the new set of “One Star” designs.
Do not get confused from “One Star” and the iconic Converse “Chuck Taylor,” though both are good-looking, they are different.
Since its debut in 1974, the Converse One Star has become a favorite of punk, grunge, and rock musicians and skateboarders. For example, look at this Kurt-Cobain inspired One Star when Converse celebrated its 100th anniversary.
And moving on to the 2017 designs, Tyler, The Creator’s creative inputs on the classic suede “One Star x Golf Le Fleur” silhouette include:
- the flower contrast stitching surrounding the iconic star,
- embroidered bee logo on heel stay,
- debossed tonal Golf Le Fleur logo on the shoe’s tongue, and the
- Golf Le Fleur art illustrated on the sock liner and printed outsole graphics.
Still, Tyler, The Creator’s most personal touch is a message inscribed on the shoes’ inner and outer soles: “Don’t let ’em kill your flowers, water your garden and stunt.”
The Converse One Star x Golf Le Fleur sneaker collection is available in four color choices, with an interchangeable set of tonal laces:
- Airway Blue,
- Peach Pearl,
- Sulphur, and
- Fuchsia Glow
Where to get these and how much? The shoes are exclusively available in Commonwealth at SM Aura for Php5,350.
