“Kita Kita” lead actor Empoy shares a glimpse of his own business; a 90’s-themed restaurant named “Wayback 90’s” at Baliuag, Bulacan.
According to Empoy, the “Wayback 90’s” idea started out as a place where his childhood friends would meet.
“Tinawag siya na Wayback 90’s kasi kahit hindi na kami magkakasama ng mga kababata ko at saka classmate ko ng high school, gumawa kami ng paraan, ng restaurant na dito kami magkikita-kita kahit busy na kami, may mga asawa na, may work,” he said.
[It’s called Wayback 90’s because even though we, my childhood and high school friends rarely see each other, we thought of the restaurant as a way for us to keep in touch at least every once in a while despite of our work and family lives.]
Guests, patrons, and customers will surely like the ambience, especially if they are 90’s kids.
From the decorations, to the interior design, to the displays, people can walk around and check out the popular 90’s stuff. Like the ‘Family Computer,’ ‘komiks,’ ‘brick game,’ ‘parachute toy,’ and that weird fire-cracking device that only 90’s kids will know how to operate, visitors will surely not notice time passing by while they wait for their food orders.
Wayback 90’s restaurant proudly features their ‘must try’ oriental chicken, gising-gising, and sisig on the following video by Umagang Kay Ganda. Be ready for more than a couple of laughs, remember that Empoy’s a comedian:
