The news was confirmed by FAP secretary general Leo Martinez.
Birdshot is a work of movie director Mikhail Reid and headlined by John Arcilla, Arnold Reyes, Ku Aquino and Mary Joy Apostol. The movie won the Best Asian Future Film Award at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival last year.
According to the movie’s official Facebook page, Birdshot is a story of a young girl who wandered into a Philippine forest reserve where she mistakenly shoots and kills a critically endangered and protected Philippine eagle. Two cops tasked to investigate the case conducted a manhunt to track the girl. The investigation leads the cops to even more horrific discovery.
