$1,400 (P70,000) was raised for the residents affected by the Marawi crisis; thanks to a professional DOTA 2 player who fell from his chair, signed it, and was put to auction.

Canadian pro-gamer Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao of Team NP earlier this year competed in the ‘Manila Masters’ and famously fell off his chair during a heated DOTA 2 match.

The organizers of Manila Masters, the Mineski Events Team, came up with a brilliant and noble idea. They decided to put the infamous chair into auction, which is now carrying an embroidery of EternaLEnVy’s signature.

All the proceeds will go to relief efforts conducted by Salinlahi Alliance for Children’s Concerns.

The masters said on their Facebook Post:

“Our warmest thanks to everyone who bid for the coveted EternaLEnVyGaming Chair!

The winning bidder will not only receive a piece of #ManilaMasters history, but will also be contributing to the ongoing relief efforts in the city of Marawi!”

Firefight between government troops and members of the Maute group started in May 23, which led to the declaration of martial law in Mindanao.
