President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Wilma Eisma as the new chairperson of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
The position was previously held by Martin Diño.
The chief executive finalized and signed her appointment paper on September 25.
Malacañang released earlier the Executive Order No. 42; merging the positions of SBMA administrator and chairperson.
Eisma will still continue serving as SBMA administrator, a post she has held since January 2017.
Diño was former chairman of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and had been appointed to the SBMA in September 2016. He was a presidential candidate in the 2016 elections, but withdrew and nominated then Duterte as the substitute standard-bearer of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).
