On Thursday, President Rodrigo Duterte said at the 43rd PHL Business Conference and Expo that he fired an undersecretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM.)

Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno confirmed in an article by GMA News that Duterte has fired Undersecretary Gertrudo “Ted” de Leon. Rappler also mentioned that according to their sources, the man with the same name was the one who just got fired.
Duterte made the statement a day after he said he just fired a high-ranking official in government.
The president also said that he fired three employees of his own office for influence peddling.
“I told you: stop. S-T-O-P,” he said.
This is not the first time this month that the President announced in public about firing ranking officials in government due to corruption and various offense.
On October 13, the President said he fired two officials for sitting on documents that resulted in the delay of a bridge construction project in San Juan City.
More than a year into his term, Duterte has already terminated the services of several appointed Cabinet officials after being linked to alleged corruption.
