- Actor and comedian not keen on plastic surgery
- He said he’s already contented with what God gave hime
- He also said he’s just happy at the success coming his way
MANILA, Philippines – Nope, no plastic surgery as far as Empoy Marquez is concerned.
With the practice of going under the knife currently a topic of interest following the introduction of Xander Ford to the public, the “Kita Kita” star said he did not see the need for any enhancements as he was already contented with the looks God gave him.
“Hindi po pumasok sa isip ko iyon,” PEP quoted him as saying. “Kung ano po ang ibinigay ni God sa akin, iyon po ako.”
[That did not cross my mind. Whatever God gave to me, that is how I am.]
Marque added that he’s also happy over the string of successes coming his way ever since his romantic comedy flick with Alessandra Rossi.
“Marami pong nabago, pero lahat po ng pagbabagong ‘yun, utang na loob ko sa nasa Itaas,” he said. “Kung ano po ang nakikita ng mga tao sa akin ngayon, ‘yun po ay blessing po ni God sa akin.”
[There have been many changes, but all those, I owe to the One above. Whatever changes people see in me now, those are God’s blessings to me.]
The comedian also quipped that despite the success, his popularity with the ladies still remains unchanged.
“Hindi po, hindi po bago, kasi grade one pa lang ako, ganito na ako, eh!” he said.
[No, nothings’s changed, because I’ve been this way since grade one!]
Marquez stars in another movie, the “Barker” — this time with actress Shy Carlos as her leading lady. It’s set to be released on October 25.
