If you like a good laugh, you have to follow Jo Koy on his Facebook account. Jo Koy is a Filipino-American living the US who likes to poke fun at his Filipina mom. He likes to talk about the typical Pinoy beliefs his mother likes to do, like curing all ailments with Vicks Vaporub.
He also likes to reenact his mother scolding him on almost about anything. Like any Filipino mother would do, he still gets the usual “Don’t do that Josep!” no matter how old he is now.
Jo Koy has been a Netflix star and is starting to build a big name in the comedy world. He was able to sell out an amazing feat of 10 shows in Hawaii alone. Fil-ams just love relating to his jokes about growing up in the US as a Filipino.
His videos on Facebook have all gone viral. His stint on “Rice is Rice” has gained more than 6 million views.
He is set to perform at The Theatre at Solaire in Manila on November 30 and December 3. He will also be in Cebu at the Atlantic Hall of Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu on December 1. Tickets will be available at Ticketworld outlets starting October 24.
Here are a few of his videos to get you started on Jo Koy’s comedy from his Facebook page.
