Hollywood action star and martial arts expert Steven Seagal, who is currently in the country to make a TV series called “General Commander” which is about corruption, crimes and drugs, praised President Rodrigo Duterte as a very good president.
According to Manila Bulletin, during a press conference held at The Peninsula Hotel in Makati City, the action star was asked if he feels safe in the country amid the issues of illegal drugs and the alleged extrajudicial killings.
“I’m a big fan of the government, and I think Duterte is a very good president and he has been instrumental in making the Philippines a safer place. I think what he’s done is very good in terms of trying to get the control back for the people” Seagal said.
“I don’t feel like that this is a dangerous place, you know a place that’s up and coming,” Seagal added.
