Pregnancy is always kind of complicated but in some places, it could be a little less or a little more than others.

There are sets of rules and beliefs in different cultures that a pregnant woman must follow for their own sake. Chinese traditions forbid conceiving women to participate in any type of celebration because apparently too much joy may affect the baby unfavourably.

But a group of about 21 moms-to-be in Taiwan defied the convention and danced their hearts out in a surprise flash mob to the tune of none other than Luis Fonsi’s Despacito in a Taipei railway station.

The organizers explained that the event was to show women that ‘they can choose how they live when they become pregnant,’ as reported by Shanghaiist.

Well, baby still doesn’t want to come out and one of the ways to naturally induce is to DANCE – Maybe I should join in another Mommy flash mob dance routine! Hahaha. ??? baby?????????????????????????????????????????????????????It was so much fun to join this group of fun-loving, energetic moms for our flash mob at the Taipei Main Station a few weeks ago. It takes a lot to coordinate so many moms to come together (some even came all the way up from Kaohsiung!) so thank you to everybody that participated (21 moms. 21 babies :):)) ??????????????????????????high????????????????????????????????????? #?Janet????? ??? ???????????????????????????????????????????42????If you are lucky enough to have a smooth pregnancy and get the OK from the doctors, don’t be afraid to go out there and live a normal life! Walk, exercise, and yes, even dance! You actually will feel quite good about yourself and the time goes by much faster. I even think that my body is better prepared to deal with some of the uncomfortable parts of pregnancy (back ache, sore waist, morning sickness, etc…) if you can try and stay active and do what makes you happy. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????I think we need to do a reunion flash mob dance once we all have given birth to our babies… what do you think? Anybody else want to join in on a mom-baby dance? Or maybe a dad-baby dance this time?! One of the participants posted on Facebook and said that if ‘you’re lucky enough to have a smooth pregnancy and get the OK from the doctors, don’t be afraid to go out there and live a normal life! Walk, exercise, and yes, even dance!

She also shared she felt quite good about herself as time went by faster and she thinks her body is better prepared to deal with some of the uncomfortable parts of pregnancy.

The video posted on Facebook went viral with nearly 900K views, 35K reactions, and over 4,100 shares as of posting. However, the clip received mixed reviews because while some were entertained and even cheered for the moms who are not afraid to let pregnancy get in the way of enjoying oneself, others seemed to think it was shameful, disrespectful and very much something that Westerners would do.
