Winwyn Marquez takes all negative criticisms about her height as inspiration to win ‘Reina Hispanoamericana 2017’

Winwyn Marquez strongly believes that what matters more is how firm one stands for own country and principles; and not how beautiful or tall someone is.

This is how she answered her critics who kept on saying her height is not apt for a beauty queen.

‘Winwyn’, Teresita Ssen Lacsamana Márquez in real life, won the title of Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017 despite some people doubting her ability to represent the country on an international beauty pageant stage.

The seemingly annoyed Winwyn even added that being shorter than the other contestants wouldn’t stop her from giving her ‘110%’ for the Philippines.

She expressed that she respects other people’s opinions but humbly asked for them to be supportive.

She also added that everyone has a distinct and unique preference of whom they think deserves to win a beauty pageant crown. However, she still assures everyone – supporters and bashers alike – that she is determined to win despite her height– which has been the subject of haters who were criticizing her.

During the send-off gathering held for her and Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann on Wednesday, October 18, Winwyn said she takes all the negative criticisms as inspiration which strengthens and pushes her to perform better, as disclosed in a news story by PEP.

The beauty queen flew to Bolivia on Thursday, October 19, for Reina Hispanoamericana.

The grand coronation will be held on November 4.

This is the very first time the Philippines has sent a representative to this 25-year-old pageant– which usually is being dominated by candidates mostly from Latin-American countries.
