Is Terrence Romeo ready to move on from GlobalPort?

Terrence Romeo has been the face of the franchise of the GlobalPort batang pier in the PBA.

But according to SPIN, Romeo is on the trading block. The former FEU star made the request during the Commissioner’s cup and GlobalPort management had opened initial talks with counterparts from Meralco.

The GlobalPort management initially is asking Baser Amer and Chris Newsome, a candidate for Most Improved Player and the 2016 Rookie of the Year, respectively.

But Coach Norman Black, head coach of the Meralco bots, reportedly is hesitant to part ways with Newsome; his former player in several championships with Ateneo de Manila University in UAAP, according to Inquirer.

Aside from Meralco, TNT has been involved with trade talks regarding a possible Romeo trade but the KaTropa are still hoping that Mo Tautuaa actually plays like a number one pick.

Despite coming off another stellar season by averaging a league-high 23.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists, Romeo’s numbers are not enough to bring his team to a PBA Finals appearance.
