“Be careful who you trust!” This is the lesson learned by “Miss Universe Philippines 2017” Rachel Peters after pictures of her supposed evening gown for Miss Universe 2017 leaked on social media.
She took to Instagram on Tuesday, November 21, to express how upset and saddened she was of what happened.
She began with a message sarcastically thanking whoever was behind the leakage, and stating she has definitely learned her lesson.
“To whoever leaked pictures of my evening gown, thank you for teaching me a lesson about being more careful who you trust,” the beauty queen said.
Although upset with what happened, she still managed to look at the positive side, and used the experience to be more-willed and focused.
“Not sure what your intentions were but no matter what, you’re not dragging me down,” Peters said.
Her closing words convey that what truly matters is one’s personality.
“At the end of the day it’s not about the dress you wear, how you walk or even the element of surprise. What’s important is that you are kind and true to yourself… that’s when a girl truly shines,” she said.
A certain Instagram account called “Gandang Pinoy” on Tuesday posted the said snippet of her supposed gown.
Other hot and trending issues include Miss Haiti being allegedly pregnant, racist remarks from other contestants, and some others hiding fellow contestants’ shoes.
