Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes are elated that their book “10 Things We Fight About” has been receiving good feedback from fans and celebrities alike, after its launching.

“Mabilis siya basahin. Masaya kami, yun yung isa sa mga goal namin na makagawa ng book na practical pero madaling basahin. As in siguro isang CR mo lang matatapos mo yun,” said Poon, as per a news story by PUSH.

[It’s easy to read. We’re happy, that’s one of our goals — to write a book that’s practical and easy to read. As in, you could probably finish reading it in just one bathroom break.]

The book tells about the couple’s most common reasons for misunderstandings and how to work them out. The two have been married for four years, and the singer revealed they are now ready to start a family any time, hopefully with a baby boy.

“….Gusto ko boy kasi pag nauna ‘yung babae para bang siya ‘yung nagiging responsable, ‘yung lalake nagiging alagain. Ayoko. Mas gusto ko ‘yung lalake ang nag-aalaga so mas gusto ko mauna siya….,” he disclosed.

[I want a boy because when a girl comes first, it’s like she becomes the responsible one while the boy becomes dependent. I don’t want that. I prefer that a big brother looks after [his siblings], so I want a ‘boy’ to come first.]

Maricar has been part of the Kapamilya series “La Luna Sangre”, and Poon said he’s so proud of his wife even though it was just a short stint.

But did you know that Maricar endured a sprain on her right foot while taping the fight scenes with Daniel Padilla?

Richard revealed that because of the injury she had to wear flat shoes for the rest of her scenes because of the pain, and disclosed it was disturbing on his part.

“It’s nice to watch her although it was disturbing for me siguro for ilang weeks mga four or five weeks kasi she got injured,” the singer disclosed.

He just kept it since the people didn’t really know what happened, and revealed he completely witnessed the pain she suffered at home. Because of this, Poon had to take extra care of his wife who aside from an ankle injury also had a bruise on her back. Maricar had just been from Thailand at that time.
