The 90’s original girl squad, Spice Girls will reunite next year. The much awaited reunion will include a TV special and a new album.
“Secret talks” have been making the rounds among Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, Melanie B, Emma Bunton and Gerri Halliwell. The iconic group finally agreed to reform after failed attempts over the years. An insider from the group told the Sun that getting Victoria on board has been one of the obstacles they faced. But it looks like they have finally convinced Posh Spice to join. The insider was quoted by Sun saying, “And getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion.”
“The fact she is on board now is down to how much closer the five of them have become recently,” he continued.
The relationship between the girls has been described as “icy in the beginning” but they eventually started warming up to one another again. One of the main reasons they started working together is when they rallied to give support to Melanie C after her messy divorce. The birth of Gerri’s son also helped the girls to get back together.
“It is not easy to get them all in the same place at the same time,” the insider who was a former aide and is now working for the reunion said.
The Spice Girls will be expected to work together on a series of projects, including an album and a TV special commemorating the iconic girl group.
