- Mocha Uson defended Isabelle Duterte’s photo shoot in Malacañang Palace
- She said the girl was being condemned as if she had killed someone
- Uson echoed Harry Roque’s statement that no law was violated and no taxpayers’ money was spent in the photo shoot
Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson came to the defense of Isabelle Duterte, the granddaughter of President Rodrigo Duterte who recently had her pre-debut photo shoot inside Malacañang Palace; the seat of power of the country’s president.
Uson said she initially does not want to comment about the issue, but said she pitied the President’s granddaughter for the vicious attack on her by some critics.
“Kung ikundena ng ilang tao akala mo nakapatay na ‘yung tao,” Uson said in her post on Facebook. [A number of people condemned her as if she has killed someone.]
The PCCO assistant secretary echoed the earlier statement of Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque that no law was violated and that no taxpayers’ money was spent in the photo shoot.
Uson sees nothing wrong with the photo shoot inside the Palace. She said what is wrong is to use a government helicopter and spend for its fuel for personal campaign sortie; obviously referring to actress Kris Aquino, sister of former President Benigno Aquino, who was criticized over the use of presidential chopper to attend a Liberal Party campaign sortie last year.
