An OFW father of two beautiful daughters granted his children’s wish to see him soon, but with a twist, when they least expected it.
According to a Facebook post by Juv P. Montaner, the father has been working as a nurse in Dubai for more than 3 years and has not come home since then, and the mother, who is currently working in Bohol entrusted them with the siblings.
Siblings Breanna and Chayyen survived a lot of difficulties in life at their very young age.
They were earthquake victims in Bohol.
Due to circumstances, they had to live with their relatives in Marawi City, and that’s when they experienced having to travel for 10 hours just to escape from the warzone brought on by the siege.
But the hardest of all was the separation from their parents — for years.
A Child’s Wish:
Yenny (Breanna) was turning 8 years old (last November 20,2017), and all she wished for was a complete family. Her wish was to see her Daddy and Mommy on Christmas if it’s not possible on her birthday.
She quoted: “Mommy Juv, I will pray million times because Daddy told me he might come home”.
One day, the father called the siblings’ aunt that he’s coming home and asked to set up a surprise, and specified if possible he can wear a “Jollibee” uniform.
Luckily, the manager of Jollibee Tubod Ros. Heights allowed him to wear a jolly cap, to hide his identity while pretending as one of the crew.
As children should be and like the most of us, Breanna and Chayyen couldn’t wait to grab the fries the moment it was set on the table. The siblings did not recognize their Daddy right away.
But Breanna noticed the special bracelet they made that was sent to Dubai for their Dad.
Although the conversation could not be heard, you can read the child’s mouth saying “Daddy!”
And from there on, it was all hugs, kisses, and tears.
According to the post, the father said that he does not take the bracelet off, for it is his comfort when the loneliness and sadness strikes.
Imagine how much the father could have wanted to embrace his children the moment he saw them from afar, but he held back his tears; chose to control his emotions and stay in character.
Oh well…where’s that hanky?
