Sandara Park may now be a K-pop icon but she hasn’t forgotten her Pinoy heart.

It has been three years since popular K-pop group 2NE1 had disbanded. So it was no surprise that Sandara and 2NE1’s fans were so excited to finally see her back on stage.

Sandara had an intimate concert at Kia Theatre for the #PenshoppePresentsDara.

This was also the first time Dara performed solo and she missed her 2NE1 girls. She was quoted by Pep sharing the moment with her fans: “This is a very special day for all of us, di ba? Kasi ito yung first time na magpe-perform ako ng 2NE1 songs all by myself. Nakaka-miss yung mga girls ko, ‘no?”

[Because this is the first time I’ll be performing 2NE1 songs all by myself. I really miss girls.]

Dara admitted she was worried, scared and nervous but she challenged herself to improve. She asked herself, “Kung hindi ngayon, kelan pa ‘di ba?” [If not now, when? ]

She also admitted she is so happy to face another chapter in her life. She continued to thank her loyal fans, saying “Kanina kasi, nag-iisip ako, ‘Mapupuno kaya ang venue na ‘to?’ Thank you, thank you talaga.”

[I was thinking a while ago, will I be able to fill this venue? Thank you so much.]

Dara perfomed 2NE1’s hit songs such as “Fire” and “Do You Love Me.”

But as a special treat to her loyal “Blackjacks” or fans, she treated them to some of her favorite Pinoy songs. Dara also danced to Donna Cruz’s “Kapag Tumibok ang Puso”, much to her Pinoy fans’ delight.
