Comedienne Pokwang has a lot to be thankful for these days — a loving partner, her daughter’s internship in Europe, a baby on the way and now an international nomination.

Pokwang’s Patikim, Pokie! A Hugot Cookbook was recently nominated to compete against books from 205 countries in the Gourmand International award.

The pregnant Kapamilya star posted her excitement on her Instagram.

She shared, “Pasensya na po sobrang happy lang ako sa balita at ‘di ko maiwasan na hindi i-share sa inyo lalo na sa lahat ng tumangkilik ng aking #hugotcookbook ang #PatikimPokie.”

[Please excuse me because I’m just so happy with the news and I couldn’t help but share it especially to those who supported my hugot cookbook.]

She reposted a message, “Mamang! Congrats po! Napili ang Patikim, Pokie! ng Gourmand World Cookbook Awards as one of the best cookbooks in 2017.”

Pokie’s cookbook already won the national award and is now set to compete against cookbooks written all over the world.

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards was started in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau. Every year, they search all over the globe to award the best food and wine books, printed or digital, as well as food television.
