MANILA, Philippines  –  The bodies of the wife and 7-year-old daughter of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) earlier thought to be missing were reportedly found dead inside their home in General Trias, Cavite.

Relatives of the victims found the bodies of Ruby Gamos, 34, and daughter Shaniah Nicole lying side by side on their bed inside one of their rooms on Monday, as per an ABS-CBN News story.

The victims bore no visible signs of injuries to their body and authorities are still waiting for the results of their autopsy to determine the cause of death. There are also no signs of forced entry, investigators said.

Robbery is being eyed as the primary motive since some items were found missing from the house including the television sets, laptop, jewelry and cellphones. The couple’s car, a Toyota Wigo, with conduction sticker VD 9843h, was also nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, the father, Marlon Gamos, a seaman, immediately flew in from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and arrived on Tuesday.

Gamos said he last spoke to his wife last Thursday. Relatives began to suspect something was wrong when the mother and daughter failed to come out of their home for days and did not show up at a school event last Saturday.

The grieving father is crying for justice and appealed to the public for any information related to the crime or the perpetrators.
