- Although their jobs are allowed in the City, the foreign women were found to be working without appropriate working visa and permit
19 Russian women who’ve been working as GROs, dancers and entertainers in Angeles City, Pampanga were detained and will be deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for working without the appropriate working visa or permit.
According to BI spokesperson Atty. Antonette Mangrobang, the women’s status in the country are only “tourists”.
Half of the 19 ladies were also found out to be “overstaying” while the others have just arrived in the country this January.
Based from the information acquired by the BI, the women were not only working as GROs in the Philippines but also transfer from one country to another.
A truck was also seen roaming the city with the images of the women displayed on its side.
Meanwhile, the manager and the cashier who are both Koreans were arrested for violation of the Anti–Trafficking in Persons Act for employing the women.
The Russian women are now detained and their deportation papers are now being processed.
