- Not the first time, the boxing champ also help typhoon victims last 2009
The WBA interim flyweight world champion Nonito Donaire Jr is again proving that he has a soft heart for the needy. He gave and turned over 100 houses to the victims of Typhon Yolanda in Lemery, Iloilo.
It was in 2013 when Typhon Yolanda ravaged the country where people lost loved ones, homes and property. It was recorded as one of the strongest typhoons in history. The devastation was so severe that until now, rehabilitation is still unfinished.
The Filipino Flash alongside English businessman Greg Secker and his foundation, Build a House, Build a Home aims to provide homes and shelter to the typhon victims in Iloilo. On his Facebook page, the boxing champ shared how excited they are to be able to change the lives of others.
This is also not the first time that Donaire Jr took part in helping the needy. Back in 2009, he also donated a million pesos to help fund a housing project for thr victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Truly, Donaire is a champ with a heart!
