Actor Gerald Anderson is open to working again with his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu — but under one condition.
In an article written by Bernie V. Franco of PEP, Anderson said he is open to working again with Chiu but he has a condition: the material should be good.
“Kailangan maganda ‘yong project. Kailangan swak sa amin,” Anderson said. [The project must be good. It should suit us.]
At present, the pair — also known as Kimerald — leads the television series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin, which is set to air its final episode on January 26.
He added that he does not mind working with her as long as the project is something that will have an impact on viewers.
“Kailangan ‘pag binasa mo talaga, dapat si Kim ‘yong nakikita ko, o kami ‘yong nakikita ko, kasi sayang, e. Sayang ‘yong p’wede naming ibigay sa fans, kung papayag lang kami sa kung anu-anong project,” he said; describing the next script as something that should be worth doing and just any project.
The four-year onscreen team-up of Kimerald was cut short after the two did their last movie together, Till My Heartaches End, in 2010 which was also the time when they confirmed their breakup. Their reunion comes a few years later when they starred in the movie 24/7 in Love in 2012. It was followed by television series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.
Throwback. Here’s one of the episodes of Kimerald teleserye Sana Maulit Muli, which was considered as one of the most watched television shows in the Philippines then and was even aired in Taiwan with the title Chances:
