  • Nash Aguas not a “bagito” at all when it comes to showbiz
  • He starts on his very first job as a director, a real lifelong dream
  • He started in showbiz via ABS-CBN’s flagship program for discovering new talents, “Star Circle Quest” kids edition

“Ever since bata pa ako, gusto ko na mag-direct,” he said in an article by ABS CBN.

We may think that when Nash won that competition in 2004, he has already achieved a big part of a boy’s dream, but the truth is that he has long wanted to pursue a different dream; that is, to be behind the camera, directing other actors.

ABS-CBN mobile series have just-released on Thursday “Coffee Break”, which is about a group of friends who regularly bond over coffee; unfolding from the perspective of a barista.

Nash and some of his colleagues confided Coffee Break’s idea, and when he presented it to ABS-CBN, “Nagustuhan nila, sabi nila, ‘Tutal, sa iyo nanggaling iyong concept, ikaw na rin mag-direct, dahil alam mo ang pasikot-sikot ng story,” he said. [They liked it and they told me, ‘why don’t you direct it because you know better how the story goes.]

Nash admits that he feels fulfilled and pressured at the same time, but his real life friends and “Goin’ Bulilit” batchmates like John Manalo and Igiboy Flores will star in the series and they would help each other, he said.
