- A netizen’s food review about why Mang Inasal should be the National symbol of peace went viral
- It caught the attention of Mang Inasal Philippines, Inc. and he was rewarded with a year’s supply of PM1
A netizen posted a write-up on Monday about “Why Mang Inasal should be the national symbol of peace” on his Facebook account without any inkling that the popular fastfood company would even take notice; much less give him an exhilarating reward.
Jeremy Layson told Kicker Daily News that he initially just wanted to let his FB friends know why he always eat at Mang Inasal; injecting some humor to add life to his rave.
But due to his interesting narrative and rather convincing descriptions spiced with a bit of humor, his post hooked readers to finish the long read! Moreover, his far-from-boring post even earned more than 8,400 shares.
What happened next?
His write-up reached Mang Inasal, and to his surprise, on Friday afternoon, Mang Inasal Philippines’ official Facebook account messaged him and said:
“Hello, Jeremy! Salamat sa pagmamahal at pagtangkilik sa Mang Inasal! Touched na touched kami sa post mo, at gusto lang namin magpasalamat. Nakita naming mahilig ka sa PM1. As a token of our appreciation, we’d like to give you a one year supply of PM1 – enjoy a free PM1 meal once a week for whole year! Ok lang bang i-repost din ang status mo sa aming Facebook page? Pwede rin bang mahingi namin ang iyong address para mapadala namin ang Mang Inasal Gift Certificates mo?”
