A 27-year-old man believed to be Makati’s number 1 most wanted person was arrested by police officials on Wednesday morning.
The suspect was identified as Allein Hussein Sumadlayon who was caught around 3 a.m. during an Oplan Sita at Bluevoz Street cor. Milkweed Street in Barangay Rizal, Makati.
Sumadlayon, after being involved in a series of robbery hold-up and carnapping incidents, was also listed as Top 2 in the Southern Police District’s most wanted person.
Supt. Joel Pernito, Makati Police’s Deputy District Director for Operations said in a statement that the suspect was initially arrested for not wearing a helmet while on a motorcycle during an Oplan Sita operation. However, the police noticed a firearm tucked on Sumadlayon’s waist which alerted them to bring him to the police station.
When they arrived at Station 10, the suspect was then positively identified as the most wanted person in Makati.
A warrant of arrest against Sumadlayon was immediately served, for committing Robbery with Homicide against a call center agent last July 2017 and a dentist back in 2016.
Pernito revealed that the suspect first monitors his target’s move for a few days before doing the crime.
Meanwhile, a .38 caliber, four live bullets, and piece of paper stating the list of possible targets were recovered from Sumadlayon.
The police are still investigating on Sumadlayon’s possible involvement in some rape cases.
