The popular Pinoy mixed nut “Ding Dong” was a hit at the world’s biggest food trade show, Gulfood Expo 2018 in Dubai.
Commercial Attaché Eric Elnar was quoted by the Filipino Times saying that amidst all the Philippines’ showcase of food and beverages, Ding Dong seems to have captured the taste of the people.
“We have observed a trend. Arabs and other nationalities have started to appreciate our snack foods, especially Ding Dong. It’s amazing how much they love Ding Dong!” said Elnar.
“We have good products, and Gulfood serves as a wonderful platform to give them the global exposure they deserve. Our goal is to introduce our products to more people so they can be enjoyed not only by Filipinos but by those from other countries as well,” Elnar added.
Among the brands being showcased in the Philippine pavilion are: Mama Sita, Century Tuna, Gold Seas Tuna, Absolute Drinking Water, Summit Sparkling Drink, Cobra Energy Drink, Magnolia Ice Cream, and San Mig Coffee. Other Philippine food companies were also present during the event.
The GulFood Expo 2018 was held at Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) last 18 February 2018.
