Ryan Bang is surely one of the country’s favorite Koreans. The It’s Showtime host was chosen to be the Philippines’ torchbearer in Pyeongchang Winter Olympics this year.

On Star Magic’s Instagram, we get a sneak peak of the torch bearing ceremony. Instead of the usual practice of running, Ryan rode a colorful hot air balloon Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province.

Ryan shared with ABS-CBN that he was thrilled with the experience and even got to meet Goblin star Lee Dong Wook during the torch relay event. Ryan said that Lee even invited him to watch his concert on March 13. The former PBB housemate said, “Bonding daw kami ni Lee Dong Wook.”

This will be the second year that the Philippines participated in the Winter Olympic Games. Two delegates were sent to compete in two sports— Asa Miller for alpine skiing and Michael Christian Martinez for men’s figure skating.
